The Dudes Night Out art collective is a team of talented artists from in and around the Rochester area. The brain child of Aaron Humby, the Dudes came together in the cold early days of 2013 with the simple goal to make art and to have a damn good time doing it.
The team have had shows across the city and with each event the packed crowds are delighted by the ingenious art on the walls. Creativity is only part of what makes this team so dynamic, it's the genuine compassion they have for their craft, the love they have for the community that they live in, and the simple fact that they respect how talented each other are.
Each brings with them a unique blend of skills and personality, when united, makes The Dudes Night Out team truly a force unlike any other in this city, and dare I say the world.
With weekly themes on their Facebook pages, posts on twitter and instagram, or pins of our work on Pinterest, you can see the different styles each artist brings to the group, from 2D to 3D, from pencils sketches to oil paintings! Be sure to check our where our next event will be happening, and come and join us for a Dudes Night Out!
Using vivid colors and bold lines on wood or canvas, I try to paint the calm moment found in blending the fantastic with the horrific by stealing ideas from pop culture, bad movies, good tv, corporate mainstream music, graffiti, my youth in Canada, my new life in the States, my older daughter bravery and my younger one's innocence.
A glorified doodler, renaissance man and all around friendly fella. He's one of the more social members of the team. Not only an illustrator, painter, and mixed media man, but also a PR and social media guru. Known for knowing everyone, Magnus is happy to use his powers for good, and to spread the awesome which is The Dudes Night Out to the Roc and eventually the world. Look for the really wordy descriptions, and you'll be sure to find his art!
Eugene is an Illustrator/Graphic Designer from Queens New York (born and raised). Currently working as a freelance sketch card artist for such trading card companies as Rittenhouse, UpperDeck and 5Finity.
As a toddler Lauren was caught drawing on her parents white walls with a red crayon and despite their disappointment at the time, it was at this moment she would first discover her love of taking the seemingly boring and creating something that could tell a story. She has a vast interest in a variety of subjects and techniques. She is hopeful to someday find a niche, yet the rebel artist in her doesn't hold her breathe.
Having been born with an extra arm, he took to drawing and painting and sculpting, many of these at the same time.... This is how come he is so fricking prolific! At meetings he is constantly doodling, during meals, doodling, in his sleep, doodling, the guy needs a hobby. You can help him and his affliction by purchasing all of his work, once the demand exceeds his output, a cure will be in sight. Thank you in advance.
Rochester-based artist Aaron Humby has been working creatively since age 5. Through the years he has produced an array of art in many different styles. He has worked from his raw talent and has been driven by the love of creating. Pencil, ink, paper and paint are all he needs to be artistically happy. Humby is best known for his whimsically humorous illustration and facial portraits featuring beautifully crafted expressions. His art is still growing, still evolving and you never know what he'll come up with next.
This seemingly ordinary mother of two has a dark side: a perhaps unhealthy obsession with all things zombie, that which are ghoulish, and things that go bump in the night. Producing art from an early age, she never succumbed to the demands of her art teachers, refusing to paint fruit in bowls and happy little trees. It's all about the unique and creative for this gal. "Art minus pretense" is her motto. It's all about having fun and breaking the mold.
I'm a self taught artist with an affinity for insects, sea creatures and various monsters ...I see the the beauty in all life forms and I hope I can shed a new and beautiful light on over looked and imaginary life forms...I love the intense and fluid nature of watercolor and I like to create highly saturated, tasty paintings full of vibrant color.
Just create and use my art for good. with a goal of leaving this world a better place.
This Rochester born miscreant is using his self taught digital painting skills to claw his way out of the gutter, one pixelated brush stroke at a time.
Born and raised in Rottenchester New York. I paint and I draw but necessarily in that order. Art found me, I didn't find it and some many years later we still have a love/ hate relationship.
A software architect by trade, Dave likes to balance his right brained world with paintbrush in hand. He used to paint "serious" things until he met his now long time girlfriend who once mentioned that he might try actually putting his terrible sense of humor to use by painting funny things into thrift store art. Now he spends his nights with a loving lady, two crazy dogs, and a great beer beside him, repurposing abandoned thrift art.
I'm an artist who enjoys trying new things. Painting and illustrating will always be a favorite, but roller coasters are probably never going to happen. I have a degree in Art Ed. from NY and am currently practicing in Rochester, NY. I am available for freelance and commissioned work in illustration, painting, graphic design and visual aids.

I grew up swimming in photo chemicals in my father's darkroom. I carried my love of photography through high school and on to the University at Buffalo, where I majored in photo. After graduation I started my own business and I love every minute of it.
By day she is a mild mannered receptionist but by night she is a paintbrush wielding artist who vows to rid the world of boring art one kick ass painting at a time.
